Our service to youDuring your test
We come to your home to set you up with the sleep equipment in the late afternoon. This will take approximately 30 minutes.
Once the equipment is secure, we leave you to continue to enjoy your evening. Please try to have your usual evening and bed routine and retire to bed at your normal time.
Understanding your sleepAfter your test
Wake up at your usual time and carefully remove the equipment yourself.
We will arrange for the equipment to be collected the next morning.
Your sleep study will be analysed and reported in-house by our Clinical Sleep Physiologists and reported by one of our Sleep & Respiratory Physicians.
Your referring doctor will receive your report within 7 working days of your study. Please make an appointment with them to discuss your results.

Study Information and Frequently Asked Questions

If you experience the following signs and symptoms:
Daytime sleepiness and/or fatigue
Waking feeling unrefreshed or exhausted
Snoring
Witnessed apnoeas, gasping/choking, or pauses in breathing during sleep
Restless or disturbed sleep
Insomnia
Morning headaches
Difficulty concentrating and/or poor memory during the day
Bathroom visits during the night
Sleepiness whilst driving
Restless legs during the night and/or waking with sore or achy legs.
Sleep Disorders are also associated with some medical conditions. Addressing these alongside sleep therapy is essential for improving your overall health and quality of life. Consider a Sleep Test if you have:
Hypertension
Cardiovascular Disease, Atrial Fibrillation, or other Cardiac Arrhythmias
Type 2 Diabetes
Mental health conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, PTSD
ADHD/ASD
COPD, Chronic Lung Disease, or other Respiratory disorders
Movement disorders such as Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS), Parkinson’s Disease

We aim to book your sleep study within a 2 week waiting period.
Results are sent back to your referring doctor within 7–10 business days, often sooner. If anything urgent is identified, your doctor will be notified promptly.

That’s completely fine. You can still have a sleep study. We can bill the study privately. We will let you know the cost upfront before booking so there are no surprises.

Our Clinical Sleep Physiologist will arrive at your home and complete the full set-up in about 20–30 minutes. This includes explaining the equipment, applying the sensors, and making sure you feel comfortable before we leave. Please remember to have a shower and be wearing a comfortable shirt that you would like to sleep in.
Patient FAQs

Keep the recording device at least one metre away from all electrical appliances, as they may cause interference.
Keep children and pets away from the equipment. Children or pets could accidentally disconnect the equipment or cause other incidents.
Handle the equipment with care, particularly when removing the electrodes and sensors in the morning.

Please remember to have a shower and be wearing a comfortable shirt that you would like to sleep in.

Yes. The equipment is lightweight and portable, so you can walk around your home, relax on the couch, and enjoy your normal bedtime routine as usual. We just ask that you avoid vigorous activity, showering and keep the sensors in place.

Yes. Since we aim to monitor your usual sleep you should take all your usual medications.

You should only take medication to help you sleep if you usually do so. Please record the use of any such medications on the evening/morning questionnaire.

You should only drink alcohol on the night of your test if you usually do so. Please record alcohol consumption on the evening/morning questionnaire.

We suggest using a damp cloth to wash (including hands) while wearing the equipment. Please do not immerse any of the equipment in water.

No. Everything is already connected & requires no further activation.

Your home sleep study aims to record your normal sleep pattern; therefore you should go to bed and wake at your normal times.

You can wear your standard night attire during the study, although it is not possible to remove any clothing that is under bands around your chest and abdomen. You may wear clothing over the top as well. Please be careful not to dislodge sensors when removing your outer clothing.

The recording device is set to start and stop automatically. You do not need to press any buttons on the device.

Once set up the recording device is locked. Accidental button pressing will not affect the recording.

Yes. However, please record on the evening/morning questionnaire attached if anything, including your partner, disturbs your sleep during the night.

Yes. The study aims to record your normal sleep pattern, therefore, you may sleep in any position you prefer. It is preferable to spend at least some of the night on your back.

You may get up as normal if required. Please be careful not to dislodge sensors when moving about.

If you know where the sensor was attached, please reattach it. If not, simply leave it unattached and make a note of it on the evening/morning questionnaire.

Yes. We offer alternative therapies to CPAP therapy, including Mandibular Advancement Splints (MAS) and Positional Devices (Night Shift).
